On Thursday we decided we needed a holiday in March, last minute as usual. I emailed Helen on Friday with my wish list which is always quite specific, spoke to her on Saturday morning and by Saturday evening she had put together exactly what we wanted and it was booked. As always fantastic service. Our last trip ended in a bit of a disaster with long flight delays and missing our IOM flight but Helen fixed it all and took all the stress out of it so she was our first choice when booking this trip. We have just returned for our trip of a lifetime to Lapland. Helen listened to our requirements and put together the perfect package for us. We stayed in a glass igloo and were picked up and taken to stunning locations for a husky safari, reindeer sleigh ride and an aurora hunting trip. After doing lots of research we didn’t want the short taster sessions offered by some other tour operators, nor the too commercial Santa based holiday and I’m so glad we didn’t! Travelling in the snow into the wilderness, meeting and learning about the huskies and reindeer were the highlights of the trip for us. Each was a half day experience, didn’t feel rushed and we felt so welcomed by the Finnish guides. The igloo was so warm and cosy and I can’t explain how magical it was to live and sleep under the stars. As we have three children aged 8,11 and 14, Helen ensured that we had a morning free to visit Santa, which was an unforgettable experience. We can’t recommend Helen enough, I’ve already had friends ask for her details after seeing our pictures.

It’s the second time we have used Helen Parker Travel Counsellor and she did not disappoint. Italy was just beautiful. Perfect flights, airport experience, lounge booking, private airport transfer (with air conditioning), hotel (fabulous), split trip (the kids came with us for one week and then we had another week alone) and communication throughout.
